It Is Possible For Everyone To Have Straight Teeth

Teeth are not always perfect, and some individuals suffer with their teeth more than others. It is a common misconception that braces need to be fitted in childhood or they will not work.

Teeth are fixed but not immovable. They are connected through collage nous connective periodontal ligaments. If you have teeth that are crooked or misaligned, you can use pressure on the ligaments to straighten the teeth. The ligaments stay flexible for life, meaning adults can consider having their crooked teeth straightened with the use of braces, even if they have not undergone such treatments in the past

Crooked, misaligned teeth cause problems
There are two main issues. One is cosmetic and the other is related to oral hygiene and dental health. Misaligned teeth are more likely to cause problems such as cavities, gingivitis and periodontal diseases.

How to get straight teeth
There are different procedures available to help get straight teeth. The original method was to use metal braces. These were uncomfortable and not very pretty to look at. Once fitted with the metal braces, it could take 1 to 2 years for the procedure to work

Today there is much better method available that answers the question “How to get straight teeth?”, and the process is a lot quicker. The answer is to wear invisible braces or braces made of acrylic. By being nearly invisible, they are a lot prettier to wear. Secondly, the duration of treatment has been reduced. It can now only take about 10 weeks to realign crooked teeth though it depends entirely on your teeth and may take a number of months. Orthodontists carry out extensive checks and prepare a mound of your teeth that is then sent away to have the set of invisible aligners made. Once they are made, they are sent back and then fitted. These initially stay on for about two weeks. Your teeth will start to move in this initial period and once this begins to happen, a new set of clear aligners are made and fitted. In all, multiple sets may be fitted. At the end of the process, the teeth are aligned as set out in the treatment plan

The advantage of this process is that the clear aligners are more practical and easier to wear. Though the cost can be higher, they can achieve results in shorter periods of time.
